Active has released another new feature for making life a little easier for staff and managers of tasting rooms, club and Ecommerce within the wine and spirits category. Now part of the Active Marketing Tools is “Email Unsubscribe” or the “Opt-Out” feature. This feature is not for all uses, however. Email Unsubscribe or Opt-Out is only for marketing emails. What email types do not support Opt-Out with Active?

• Opt-Out cannot be used for “club membership” emails
• Opt-Out cannot be used for “transaction” emails
• Opt-Out cannot be used for “person” email

What this means is that if your winery or distillery is sending out email campaigns using several systems, Active’s new web tools just made your life easier. No longer do you have to search in your database to find them and manually click multiple times to take them off your email list. You really don’t need 3rd Party Email companies to send your emails (and collect no data) such as Mail Chimp, Vertical Response, and Constant Contact when you are an Active client end user as the system truly is an all-in-one solution for all your direct to consumer sales channels.

Sending marketing emails to segmented lists or even general lists, where recipients no longer wish to be on your list, now in Active they just click on the unsubscribe icon or click on the opt-out button. Where ever you placed the icon or the button on your email document, no matter the message whether it is a call to action, informational piece, or event invite, once they click out your work is done by their effort. Period.
